Speaking with a mum the other day about her little boy's use it impending loss of his first tooth I was wondering, what is the going rate now for this momentous event. Given all the factors that may have changed what used to be a very simple transaction ( five cents for All teeth) do modern mums and dads have to budget for this factor! What influences this transaction , is it keeping up with the Jones, inflation, or some other unknown.
I believe the loss of a tooth should be something we have a bit of fun with but to pay any thing over 50 cents is sending the wrong message to the child , maybe we should be celebrating the impending arrival of a new tooth and to teach the care of that tooth that hopefully will last you the rest of your life instead of paying for the old tooth that fell out! Maybe I just need to move with the times.
